New art exhibition at Michelin Star Restaurant, Wilks, featuring previously unseen work. My current style of painting translates panoramic scenes into square images, thus creating a new visual language and enabling the viewer to experience new perspectives of well known locations. Vibrant David Bowie Portrait at Cotswold Art Exhibition
'Bowie : Reincarnation' - Oil on Canvas (90 x 90cm) I wanted to do a portrait of David Bowie that blends two of his personas into one. The young alter ego 'Aladdin Sane' has Bowie with his eyes closed (as in the album cover, below). The older David is merged, with eyes open, making the two portraits link together. Parisian artwork 'L'accordeoniste' in French restaurant, Cheltenham
This is my Parisian post-impressionist painting 'L'accordeoniste' (20 x 51cm) oil on canvas, currently exhibited at French restaurant 'L'Artisan' for £195. ⭐New⭐ 'Dalai' Portrait. Oil on boxed canvas (90 x 90cm). It's not often that I do purely happy paintings but I always find the spiritual leader of Tibet's smile contagious! I chose to have rising daydreaming bubbles (like you get in cartoons) next to him to represent reaching a higher state; these also symbolise chakra orbs.
