Park Gallery, Cheltenham
New European cityscape paintings
Promenade, Cheltenham
Oil on deep edge canvas(60 x 60cm)
This square panorama is an aerial view of The Promenade - always a hive of activity, with the iconic Hare and Minotaur in the centre.
The third version I've painted of this scene - the original panoramic painting and subsequent commission were titled 'A Different Light', coined by my Dad!
Parliament Square, London - SOLD
Oil on deep edge canvas(60 x 60cm)
The instantly recognisable spot in Central London - Westminster, Big Ben, The London Eye... Having spent the day looking at some amazing paintings in art galleries, Rita and I were rushing to catch our coach to Painswick but not before looking back at the bustling city in all its beautiful madness at hometime rush hour.
Keizersgracht Canal, Amsterdam
Oil on deep edge canvas(60 x 60cm)
This Square Panorama features Rita with an umbrella looking across the light soaked canal from a bridge in De 9 Straatjes district, Amsterdam.
Montmartre corner, Paris
Oil on deep edge canvas(60 x 60cm)
The setting of my favourite film, 'Amelie', with its characteristic cobblestone alleys and rich artistic history - I'm always drawn back to painting this magical place. Although this street corner doesn't exist anywhere in Montmartre, you'll see it everywhere..
