Oil on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm)
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) For Rita's birthday in 2018, I took her back to Henley on Thames - the first place she'd stayed twenty years earlier as an au pair. We stayed at a memorable place in Hambleden called the Tranquil Haven, with its welcoming host Jo and charming black cat 'Missy' who made her way on to this painting.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) Rita and I ambled through the landscape in this painting on a glorious Easter Sunday, whilst following the Hall Walk, leading us through Bodinnick, Polruan and Fowey.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) Interior inspired by my living room during lockdown. The square panorama format encapsulates the elements of claustrophobia and blending in with one's surroundings, trapped in nostalgia and watching a lot more tv! My girlfriend Rita loves to collect little treasures which inhabit our living quarters, now with all this time indoors, she seems to have become part of the collection..

Oil painting on deep edge canvas (66 x 66cm - Framed) Currently on display at Park Gallery, Cheltenham I loved the way the umbrellas began to closer resemble beach balls when converting this aerial beach view from wide vista to a square panorama. I aimed to capture the colours and effects, caused by the mistral, as Rita and I had experienced summer early at Nice - in March!

Oil painting on deep edge canvas (66 x 66cm - Framed)
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) A square panorama of the oldest bridge in Florence - inspired by a view from the Uffizi Art Gallery. Currently on display at Park Gallery, Cheltenham
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm)
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) This square panorama is an aerial view of The Promenade - always a hive of activity, with the iconic Hare and Minotaur in the centre. The third version I've painted of this scene - the original panoramic painting and subsequent commission were titled 'A Different Light', coined by my Dad!
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) The instantly recognisable spot in Central London - Westminster, Big Ben, The London Eye... Having spent the day looking at some amazing paintings in art galleries, Rita and I were rushing to catch our coach to Painswick but not before looking back at the bustling city in all its beautiful madness at hometime rush hour.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) Square panorama oil painting of the picturesque canal-district area of Amsterdam. This artwork emphasises the colour and shape play between the tall, thin buildings and the light refractions at twilight.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) From our recent break to Nice, this square panorama artwork is inspired by walking the promenade and beaches. The blue skies and white seashore seemed to blend the people and scenery together. I kept the painting deliberately loose so the viewer can create their own expressions, conversations and stories in this busy but relaxing picture.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) Nightlife square panorama featuring the iconic Bristol Harbour bridge. I became very aware of Munch's 'The Scream' whilst painting people on the bridge and realised I was following a similar theme of social anxiety. This artwork is a good example of my new style of painting - 'Ghost Impressionism'.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) This Square Panorama features Rita with an umbrella looking across the light soaked canal from a bridge in De 9 Straatjes district, Amsterdam.
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (60 x 60cm) The setting of my favourite film, 'Amelie', with its characteristic cobblestone alleys and rich artistic history - I'm always drawn back to painting this magical place. Although this street corner doesn't exist anywhere in Montmartre, you'll see it everywhere..
Oil painting on deep edge canvas (50 x 50cm) A painting of the light play at Bristol's Harbourside. Just as the lens flare of over-saturated light from the sun are used to great effect in movies, this artwork is inspired by photographs taken at dusk with a moving camera.
